| History of Lilies of Love All I can remember is Pastor Charlie saying “trust and believe” after his sermon as he passed out $100 bills. With that I accepted the Kingdom Assignment. The blessings I have received are incredible. Words are inadequate to express the heartfelt gratitude I have for the Lord. He has placed the kindest and sweetest people at the right time and the right place on His Kingdom Assignment. The words Lilies of Love seeded in my heart on February 21, 2005. For a month I sought and prayed not knowing where this would lead. During Holy Week the Lord put everything in place. On March 20th, Palm Sunday, I gained more understanding of the purpose of Lilies of Love. With His gentleness He put on my heart, as a mother of a deceased child you know the pain of My Mother, Mary. Remember other mothers who have experienced the loss of a child with lilies. The next day, at the grocery store who should I run into but Pat Leedy, the florist in our church. I asked her if she had knowledge of the Kingdom Assignment and she quickly showed me the $100 she had accepted. We discussed the idea and Pat joined the effort for Lilies of Love. Pat’s generosity with making flowers for this assignment very affordable has allowed our funds to go far beyond what I could imagine. Family and friends have encouraged and carried the hope He has seeded. Trusting and believing are indeed the operative words that the Lord has asked of me with His Kingdom Assignment. I delight in sharing the dreams for this assignment. May His will be done as Lilies of Love unfolds. Faithfully, Joyce Bollenbach
